Facilities
The gym is located conveniently 5 mins from Bathurst and Nigadoo allowing for minimal travel times for most. During the summer months we are approximately 5 - 7 minutes away from the beach by car. This allows for quick access to our gym while vacationing. We have ample parking around the building for those of you who travel by car.
MMAXOUT Gym
​Our facility features 4000 square feet of high impact rubberized flooring to prevent knee, hip and back injury. We also offer a safe and clean environment for your comfort. Our facility has the luxury of a low impact flooring system which in turn provides you with a couple of training options when it comes to footwear. You can either go five finger shoes or flat sole sneakers. All footwear worn inside for the workouts must be indoor only as we want to keep the training area as clear of debris as possible.
DREKON Dojo
​Our Dojo is 2000 square feet & 1500 sqf of it is matted flooring and is designed to absorb impact for our martial arts and combat fitness classes. We also offer a safe and clean environment for your comfort. Our facility has the luxury of a low impact EVA foam flooring system so in turn you don't need shoes. Most classes are done bare feet. All footwear worn inside (if required) for the workouts must be indoor and non-aggressive soles only, as we want to keep the training area as clear of debris as possible and for the longevity of flooring.
Waiting Room
We offer the convenience of a comfortable rest/waiting area for members or parents that are early for their fitness class or waiting for their child to finish a martial arts class. We have made it even more convenient for parents by installing a live feed camera on our dojo side so you can see the action on our 40'' TV while waiting.
There is a keurig coffee maker in the room for those who would like to brew one up, in case you missed that chance to get one along the way.
Equipment
At Drekon Martial Arts Academy we offer unique programming that requires and array of versatile fitness equipment. We focus primarly on Martial Arts based fitness training and as such provide heavy bags and free standing heavy bags. We also use elastic bands for quick toning exercises, rollout wheels to maximize abdominal work outs, boxes for angular and plyometric-based training. Free weights are an essential componet of the programming as well, including dumbells, olympic barbells and weights and a full high end pull up rig. At Drekon MAFA we have everything you need to sculpt and tone your body.
Changing Rooms
We understand you cant always go home and change into your workout gear and then make it to the gym so we have 4 well sized changing rooms for your convenience and placed just next to the coat rack.

We also have installed lockers for those who would like to rent one and keep their gear here to have always ready in case of schedule changes or last min workouts.
Bathrooms & Showers
With time being so constricted in our lives and our high pace busy schedules, we have 2 showers that are available to all access members so you can freshen up before heading out either back to work or just to the mall. And with 3 clean bathrooms the wait time during classes are very minimum.
Kitchen Area
With rush of the day and time being such a hard thing to find these days we've tried to help ease some of the stress. You can prep a meal for yourself or your child and come early to heat up your meal and eat here in our kitchen. We have a toaster, Toaster oven and microwave. There is also a fridge if you want to keep a post snack meal or beverage cold for when you finish that awesome class that you took part in.
Play Zone
We Understand that you have a hectic schedule and still need to make your time for the gym. We have a play room for your children while you workout. Conveniently next to the the washroom and main gym area with a large window so you and your child can see each other. This an unsupervised room (Not a Daycare), and you are responsible for your child just the same and clean up of any mess your child may have done.
